Hi Liam, I have the same exact problem but my phone is no longer under warranty. Have you been able to solve the issue?

My Sony Ericsson Xperia Active will not seem to do anything. I was using it with no problems then locked it, the phone was in my hand for only about minute but when I tried to unlock it the screen was blank and there was no sound. I replaced the battery but when trying to turn the phone on it will vibrate (only once after each time the battery has been re-inserted) and do nothing else. I thought it was a hardware problem (broken display) but when plugging it into my computer, Sony Bridge for Mac 3.0.1 comes up with an error saying it can not connect to the phone so I don't know whether it is a software or harware problem. I selected 'repair phone' but after it had apparently been 'Successfully Repaired' nothing had changed. The only thing that seems to work is the battery charging LED (from red to green).

In that case I suggest that you contact your local support team to have your phone examined and fixed at an repair center.

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/contact-info/
