Thanks for your reply, but why didn't it see these files before the SD card upgrade? As I'm sure you are aware, Wisepilot SE comes pre-loaded onto the phone & frustratingly can't be moved or uninstalled, so exactly what the ogg files were doing on my SD card in the first place I really don't know.

As I can't delete the app itself, it seems I'll just have to delete all the app data that is on the memory card & never use the app. Or, as you say, weigh my phone down with a 2nd mp3 player just because we can't restore things to how they were before the card upgrade. I didn't think it would be this complicated.

I recently upgraded the supplied 2GB SD card in my SE Xperia Mini-pro to a 32GB SDHC card.

Since putting all the files from the old card onto the new card, my mp3 player is now recognising all the Wisepilot voice guidance files located here:

Computer\Xperia mini pro\Memory Card\Android\data\org.microemu.android.se.appello.lp.WisepilotSE

example:

Computer\Xperia mini pro\Memory Card\Android\data\org.microemu.android.se.appello.lp.WisepilotSE\files\zhHant

I don't want these in my music library - there are hundreds of them. Of course I could playlist them out, but I'd prefer for things to be the way they were before I upgraded the card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The music player recongnises all files that it has possibility to play and there for also show them as "playable".

I'm afraid there's no way to clear them out though, except from trying to use some other media player. There's a bunch if you search the Play Store, check it out.

What do you think about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

Using a file manager (for example es file explorer) go to the folder where wisepilot files are and create a new empty file naming it ".nomedia" without the " and starting with the period. You have to do this with Android or in a Linux PC since Windows don't let you put a period in the beginning of a file name.

With this file all the media files inside the same folder o subfolders will be ignored by Android. Also if you are using ICS you can disable Apps, even the pre-installed ones preventing them to load in memory and hidding them. Go to Settings-> Apps->Show all. Go to Wisepilot and you will see the "disable" button.

That's much more like it! Many thanks for your detailed & helpful response. Shame the official support channel could only suggest that I'm screwed & this can't be fixed, when obviously it can. Nice one.
