Problem connecting to Sony bridge for Mac for firmware update

Connected my sis's xperia go to my mac and Sony bridge for Mac popped up and said there's a new update for the phone

when I tried updating it, the phone would turn itself off and sony bridge would said cannot find phone.

am having so many problems with sony bridge for mac, its just really frustrating

Sony should really get its act together and fix the software

Have you tried to reinstall the Bridge software?

If yes and you're still having problems I suggest that you check if this problem can be replicated on another computer. If yes it could be a phone problem and in that case a master reset of the phone might be worth trying.

Hey BeLN. I have had the same problems updating my phone, but heres an advice "Sony Xperia Support" said that helped me update my xperia trough bridge for mac:

When you press update do you get any pop-up window with instructions?

I think you should and they should advice you to turn off the phone and to press and hold volume down while connecting the cable again.

Not sure why they always ask you to reinstall everything when its their software thats the main problem.

I ended up using a pc to update my phone and there's a prompt on how to reconnect my xperia go after its turned off to install the update. Problem with the sony bridge for mac is that there's no prompt!
