Android market can't download any apps

I am having trouble downloading from Android market on my Xperia X10 mini pro.

I have updated the software from 1.6 to 2.1, I have tried signing out of google talk, removing the market updates and clearing the market cache and have now done a factory reset and I still can't download from the market. Any apps I have tried to download are showing on the market on my computer as being downloaded. My husband has the same phone running the same software and has no problems downloading from the market.

Can anyone please help me further?

Hi Mumofnhc, are you able to download apps when your phone was running Android 1.6?

No I couldn't download anything which is why I tried the software update

My next question .... is your phone logged in to the same gmail account as viewed from the Android Market website?

Yes I've tried that too, just getting frustrated with the phone because I don't seem to be able to do anythng with it

What do you mean by not able to do anything? Call? sms? internet? working fine?

Sorry it's just the market I can't do anything with.

I can make calls, send sms and browse internet

Do you mean with my husbands because I know his works? If yes I'll try this.

If not, I tried swapping the Sim this morning to see if it was a network problem but it has had no effect still couldn't download from market

Husband just said his X10 asked him which network he was on and if contract or PAYG, mine not asked at all could this be the problem?

I would suggest doing a Factory data reset again and try connecting to Market (once after your reset).

I am facing the same issue. I cleared market app storage data and cache, restarted the app. tried factory reset. tried to download both signed in and out of gtalk, but all in vain.

Can you please suggest something?

Hi, I would suggest Factory Data Reset phone again. Access Market immediately after the reset, don't bother about any data restoration in the mean time. Once you tap Market icon, you should be prompted to enter you GMail account username and password. Make sure you key them accurately (tilt phone to landscape view, chances of make mistake is slimmer).

Tried it twice yesterday. Still it's not working. I am able to browse apps through android market app, but evrytime I am trying to download anything, it is showing downloading. But download isn't starting at all, after waiting for 4-5 hours it is showing the following error:

Application could not be downloaded (Error code 495)

It's with mobile network. All other downloads work fine for me with mobile network, the only problem is with the downloads using android market app
