Learn new word with predictive text

Hi,

So I'm using the phonepad with predictive mode and I enter a word. The word I want is not on the list of suggestions...how do I get it to learn the new word? I can't find any option to do this.

settings > language and input > personal dictionary add your own words

Yer answer is indeed correct however it wasn't the one I was hoping for! I was hoping there would be an option on the same screen as I was typing, like my old nokia. It seems a bit slow having to go through all those menus just to add a word and then go back typing. Oh well.

Improved text input and spell-checking

The soft keyboard in Android 4.0 makes text input even faster and more accurate. The problem is typing it in the first place. If I'm using the predictive mode I can't actually type it.
I guess I need to switch back to non-predictive mode, delete the word I just tried to type, then re-type the word I want and then swap back to predictive mode!

I'm still on GB but will update to ICS soon. I see from yer other post that ICS will solve my issues
