Hello,

I recived my xperia go yesterday, I recived it with no headphones, this was expected as I got it from the amazon warehouse thing. My question is why doesn't the phone recognize and headphones at all, I have tried std ones, I-phone ones and HTC ones. If I use a manual override such as HTC headphone fix they all work. But I don't want to have to use a widget everytime I plug in headphones.

Thanks in advance

Luke

For headphones or headsets to work with the Xperia go they must use the same standard for transmitting the sound as the phone does.

The Sony Xperia go uses a standard called CTIA. Please check for headsets/handsfree's using the same one.

What do you think about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

So you are saying that std headphones (no mic or buttons) will not work/be recognised with these phones. So I cant use the 3.5 aux cable in my car, the aux cable on my stereo etc unless i use a homescreen widget to force the audio out of the headphone jack?

I was rather hopping I had a dodgy phone, this seems a bit crazy.

Regards

Luke

I can confirm that std headphones DO work with the Xperia go phone. I am using a 3,5 aux cable in my car and Koss headphones without button/mic. The CITA standard is only relevant when connecting accessories with buttons/mics like a handsfree.

Alex
