How do I change the language back to English?

My name is lise and I jus turned on my phone after charging for the first time and am stuck already. I actually hit the wrong button for the language and is stuck in a different language and I can't read it to get back to where I had the option of English. Tried the back button but ot isn't going back to the language menu and now I am stuck.

Please can anyone help!

PS I think it is spanish

Press MENU (rite hard button)>Settings(hammer & spanner)>Language & keyboard (11th option)>Select locale (1st option)>you should be able to read and select the rite language from there onwards.

Im a new purchaser of mini. and i inadvertantly ended up with spanish. Thank you for giving directions to fix the language. choff.

The instructions given above are good even on the new 2.3 phones, except that they now say Select Language rather than Select Locale.
