power button (unlocking the phone)

Hello,

Is there a way of unlocking the phone just by touching the screen, or at least by not using the power button? By unlocking I mean, gettin to the "front page" of the phone. I searched everywhere in the settings section but found nothing.

no, the power button turns the display on and off
it does automatically turn off after the pre-set time,but it won't come on unless you turn it on (or if it has a bug)
if you're using the phone and the display is on, you'll go to home page by pressing home button

I was hoping that the power button could be somehow bypassed. On my previous phone, I just touched the screen in pulled a sign from left to right and it unlocked the phone. But now this power button 😕

Which phone was that?
Theoretically, you could set the screen timeout to 30 minutes, so you would probably save yourself a lot of power button pressing, but then your battery would drain faster.
AFAIK, this is how most (if not all) smartphones work.

Thanks, this works. The power button gets you straight to the "front page" of the phone.
