Charging through USB

When I charge my mobile via the USB cord, the battery animation shows charging but the charge % shown in the lockscreen does not increase. I think this is a s/w bug. After an hour the charging animation is still shown but the battery % is still the same as what was when I put it to charge. Now if I take out the battery and insert it again, it suddenly jumps from 30% to 90%. Thus the charging is not being displayed in the charge % in lockscreen. Please look into it Sony. Also any1 has any solution or tweaks, its not a major issue but it would help if it was solved.

did you try to charging through lappy or electric board?

I had similar problem when I was charging it with car usb charger, but i didn't notice that the battery level increasing as you told. I thought car charger was not working. but when I connect it to computer it really gets charged.

yups I am charging it through laptop and electric board with the USB cable given with the mobile. The charging animation is shown but the % doesnt increase. Today I charged it for 30 mins and then went to sleep. The % remained was showing a constant 65% for the entire duration of the charge. When I woke up, it showed 75%. So I think what happened is that the charge isnt being updated immediately but after some time, on checking, I found that it is true. The charge is being shown after about 30 mins than when I charged.

I don't have any of such problems with laptops or electric board, but with my car charger it is really not getting charged. the charger is working all other mobiles like Nokia, LG, Samsung. Even in this phone lLED glows, and the message "ALso unplug charger from socket to save energy" gets displayed, but it doesn't get charged.

If this is a problem with charger, is there any compatible charger recommended by sony?

if you installed some battery saver then try to uninstall and observe again same problem or not..if same situation come then you should contact service center..i am using jucy defender, i have no issue about this prob..

S/W issue hoping the next update will solve it. Waiting for August.
