Hi,

I've just upgraded my Xperia S from Android 2.3.4 to 4.0.4, and i've got problem with wifi connection.

At first boot after upgrading, i could connect to the Wifi normally, but when i restart my phone, I can't browse or anything.

Wifi is connected but i can't access to internet.

I don't think it's the problem with router because i could connect to it at first, and i didn't change anythings with the router.

Please give me any solutions.

When I made the same update to my Xperia ARC everything stopped working. Phone is slow and crashes constantly, apps won t start or crash, same problem with wifi, et cetera.

Can I undo this update? :S

Same here, and I'm really irritated...
Last time I updated my e-mail where removed from the phone if it was'nt on server no more...
This time I have no option to connect to PC without using a cable....

So every update has been I giant step backwards.
Even the new layout is "cheap"

If Android 4.0.4 is possible to remov, I will !

read the replies to this page, you'll find the solution... it's an ICS problem across the board, blame Google... (something like have an unprotected wifi, connect phone to it, then connect to your normal wifi)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS

it really worked well its just like new handset to me:smileyhappy: BUT:smileyplain:

now it is not connecting to mobile network very well as before:smileycry:

it connect only when the mobile wants:smileydevil:...... otherwise it says no network connection

even E mark aslo not come out in notification mark:smileyconfused:

You mean to say data traffic is not working well ?

if yes then do one thing

Settings > More > mobile network > APN > press menu button > reset to defaults

Now go to settings > Xperia > Internet Settings > Accept

FAILS at the first step - I cannot even backup as my phone memory is not accessible even using USB (PC companion reports it's up to date though...)

Settings > backup and reset > factory data reset

I use the PC companion to backup my phone & the file browser to copy my data & photos to the PC

When I upgraded to ICS Over The Air on O2 phone the camera would not work just game me an error, so I reinstalled ICS vid the PC software & USB cable & everything is now working fine.

This might help some users that are having problems/

To fix the problem I downloaded software from sony & reinstalled the software from PC with USB cable plugged in the phone.
