Unable to Update software using PC Companion

I Am unable to update my phone using PC companion.

Getting an error as

I uninstalled the PC companion & reinstalled it & tried to update it but again got the same error.

Any other means to update the software.

I am really dissatisfied with the software that Sony has deployed & it is giving me hard time to update anything on this phone from the Day 1.

Make sure u disable the Antivirus in your PC and Also Install the Java

Try using SUS... Right now I am updating through SUS.

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ Try using the Sony Update Service application directly instead of going through PC Companion.

Not Much of an improvement i see with this update, as this firmware is to fix the Bug with the previous one which had Network Dropping issues.

But seems like it has fixed a Purple pixel in the camera & as per other bloggers it is a bit faster & some slight improvement in the on call speaker.

Just checked and Xperia P is on the list: Update Service Application Version 2.12.8.23 (latest).
