Cannot update to new system software!

My phone keeps giving the notification that ther's a new software update available but when i use pc companion it says that my phone already is up-to-date, i checked the phone info but it was not up-to-date. I also tried using the online sony update site but it gives me an error that could not download update try checking your internet connection. This has been happening for 2-3 days so please help!

Hi Manik, Thaks for the Screen shot, I hope u r trying to update through PCC or SUS Right, As per Juna889 he is saying that his phone giving a got a notification that new software available, I am asking to post the Screen shot in Mobile, If u have the same notification in your mobile try to post it

The .162 Firmware was removed from the server(Due to Network Drop Bug), Due to which u r getting that error, The new Firmware will release in the First Week of August..Wait for that.

really really thanks and sorry for not replying. By the way when i returned here after posting this discussion all of the above ppl's prblm were the same as mine so now i don't need to do anything so thanks for answering them and helping me indirectly!

We have received isolated consumer complaints about network selection issues for the products Xperia™ U, Xperia™ P, Xperia™ sola and Xperia™ go in connection with Android 2.3.7 SW version 6.0.B.3.162, successfully resolved by re-starting the phone.

Further optimizations of the network selection procedures were made and affected consumers are recommended to upgrade their handset SW to a new Android 2.3.7 SW version to be available from early August onwards.

I have experienced call drops a few times and my GPRS keeps disconnecting and reconnecting automatically. Will this be fixed in new software update?

Hey everyone! thanks for all your help and as we were told in this discussion that a new update will be released in August's first week which is here, i got a notification automatically from pc companion when i connected my xperia sola to pc and i think so will you too.... so have a nice update!
