Android 4.0 update

I've tried several times to update my phone to Android 4.0 because Sony PC Companion says that I am due for an update. Every time I try I get an error after 1.Start, 2. Prepare, saying :

This is my third time trying. The last two times I tried were two weeks ago, and last week. So obviously I'm waiting a while. Has anyone been able to use PC Companion in the US (Northern CA)? Is there a fix or work around so I can get the update?

hmm... according to http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/199354#199354 (Xperia Pro, SI numbers for ICS update) my phone's SI # was second on the list...

if you MUST have it now and you can't or don't want to wait

1 backup your firmware

2 manually update your phone

Disappointed with ICS. It disabled screen camera, zoom in and out on Yahoo e-mail, access to most games from Google Play, and LiveManager no longer functions properly. Not a happy customer. Tried to find a site to give feedback and most sites don't work. 😕

I mean to say your waiting for ICS over just in 3 days due to poor performance and you waited for long time to get it.
