Pc Companion FATAL problem...

So i want to update my x8 phone, to andoid 2.1, but when i click the "start" button it says Server not accesible . Pc companion needs to connect to an online server . the server is currently not accesible .please try again later.

What are all these BS ? i obviously have a proper internet connection, since im writing this right now, but this thing simply refuses to update...i tried on my laptop too, but it insisted i update the companio to 2.1..after the update, this too would not work...

Use this to update

SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

both the links are same

Hi Bakas, you should be able to successfully update using the Update Service Nabeel has provided above. Let us know how you get on.

For future reference, if you continue to experience a server error, this would usually indicate that the Java on your PC is out of date. You can update it by going to www.java.com.

You may also want to temporarily disable any firewalls or anti-virus software that may be blocking PC Companion access to the correct servers

My PC companion update keep stuck at preparation step upon reaching the end.and it says that unable to install or start up update component.help!>.<<br/>I tried to uninstall PCC and install the latest version but it doesn't work.
