Sony Ericsson Zylo has a slider problem. Is this problem still unrectified by Sony. Please Sony correct it. Zylo is a good phone except for the fact that its slider has a problem.

I read somewhere Sony has now rectified it and new phones are having no Problem. Is it correct...? Hope so.!!

I have bought Zylo (IMEI : +-012383008055010) on 28.05.11 from Bangalore and already finding issues with the slider. When it's slided up, it's sturdy and fine. But when it's in bar form the slider becomes quite loose. It moves reluctantly towards it's left. Even while talking the slider moves in my palm.

I lodged one complain with Customer Care (ID : 90451492) and I was advised to visit the service center. But I want this replaced as there's provision for replacement in Sony Ericsson and it's just 2 days of use.

I have been using Sony Ericsson for quite a long time now and I want cooperation from the company's side as well.

Thanks in advance.

Hi I also have just had a problem with my Zylo where when you open the slider to reveal the keypad the display either goes silvery black or a miss match of colours that more or less resembles one of the magic eye pictures. The keypad is totally unresponsive but if I close the slider and wait for the screen to go off into the standby mode, then without opeing the slider I can unlock the phone and use it! Sadly this is no good if you want to send a text message!

I have only had this phone for just over one and a half years and was wondering if there is an answer to this problem, i.e who by what email do I contact? I have send Sony Erricson an email about four days ago but sadly no response.

I need to resolve this problem as for one I do like the phone, but sadly due to being pay-as-you-go I've now lost all the games I've downloaded which would amount to around £30.

Can anyone on here give me some advice on what to do, who to contact (email) preferrably not the online form which was previously ignored.

Regards,

Paul

Hi, just to let you all know that I sent my phone back to SE about a week and a half ago and it came back yesterday fully working! Even though they have changed my unit for a reconditioned one (not stated on the paperwork) I don't mind as it works!!! This is definitely a different phone, i.e the control circular pad in now an electric blue, where as my old one was silver plus the obvious part is that the IEM number is different on the phone. Thing is, I wonder is this invalidates my 2 year phone warranty now it's a different phone and a recon?

It shouldn't invalidate the warranty as long as the repair report states that the unit was replaced and/or that it now has a different IMEI.It should read something like this: IMEI in: xxxxxxx, IMEI out: yyyyyyyyyy

i think that this is mechanical damage. but it couldn't be caused by dropping phone, but bad quality, because any fall can't broke flex cable because it is set into steel case. i allready changed one flex cable, and fixed screen problem. now i got same problem: when you slide phone loses picture on screen and phone is still on. when i dissasambled phone i found damaged flex cable again. i ordered it at ebay and i'll give feedback if change of flat cable fix problem. i think it will.

Sorry to bust your bubble guys, but the cable problem is perennial. Av had mine fixed 4 times now, and am almost having the same problem now seeing as it has started the multi colouring bit before it eventually goes blank. I think al just have to sell it to someone else coz it is getting too expensive fixing it time and again, though i really love this phone
