Rooting is possible or Not??

I wish to root my SE Live With Walkman. As I am novice, so I dont risk to unlock bootloader or flashing a new custom ROM. I root my phone as I want to get rid of Bloatwares. Please tell me whether it is possible to ROOT my SE LWW?

with this build number it's a bit complicated but not impossible, remember that ICS it's around the corner and you will be able to delete all this bloatware, if you can't wait then you need to get the kernel from 4.0.2.A.0.42

or you can flash .42 then root it with SuperOneClick and the update OTA

Thank Y:smileyhappy:U Wooly for your response. But, I already told you that I am novice one and SE LWW is my 1st android experience. Moreover I try to understand ur given link, but those make me confused. Can you please tell me the easiest way to get rid of BLOATWARE. I wish to root my phone just to remove those bloatwares.

ok just know that rooting and/or flashing "could" void your warranty, you can unroot anytime by either using superoneclick or SUS or PCC

1st you need to downgrade to .42

if you root on .42 and then update your phone OTA it will remain rooted

:smileyhappy:K. I got it. You say that after rooting it I have to use OTA update. Why it is required? Is it the way to upgrade build number from .42 to .62?
And I have 1 more question. Is there any backup process so that I backup my entire phone (at least system files) before starting downgrading it to .42. I am really worried if something mishap happens in this process it really makes me cry:smileycry:. I bought it by using my tiffin money and it takes almost one annd half year to build the sum.

you don't really have to update to .62 but if you must then yeah do it OTA

In that forum Two link is given for SE LWW firmware version 4.0.2.A.0.42.

The HOTFILE LINK shares 145.1 MB file whereas MEDIAFIRE shares 160.131 MB filesize. Why those are different:smileyconfused:?? And Which One I have to choose?:smileyconfused:?

My Confusion is 3 links contain different file sizes for the same firmware version.

Hotfire: 145.1 MB

Mediafire: 160.131 MB

Muliupload: 263.33 MB

WHY they are so different in size? Please tell me.
