Xperia Ray wont turn on please help

ok when i turn my phone on it get to the part where the screen is black and it says sony ericsson in the middle of the screen.. And thats as far as i can go... should i just connect it to my computer and update it using Sony PC Companion 2.1?

try entering safe mode

tap menu button frequently at startup see if you are able to

ok i tried everything u said and the update service and still stuck on this screen any more advice?

like 3 days ago just woke up and turned it on and this happened

I hope you tried removing the battery for sometime

Flash using flashtool or send it to service center

I am also having issues, i ran the update for ICS on my xperia ray and it said it updated but now it wont turn on. I dont even get the sony screen, the green light just flashes at me while i hold the power button and nothing else happens

You don't have to turn on the mobile

Follow the steps

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts,apps)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).

Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

PC Companion http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

i just did this with PCC, it says update finished and everything and then it just wont turn on...

If your phone is still under warranty then go to service centre to get it checked.

Otherwise there is an unofficial step that might solve the problem ( It may void the warranty )

whats the next step? my phone isnt under warranty as i had to buy this one because they refused to fix my old phone which was under warranty
