Can't update unlocked Pro to .62

I unlocked the bootloader with the service provided by SE, then rooted using the zergrush exploit. Now I can't update the firmware from 4.0.2.A.0.58 to 4.0.2.A.0.62. Using OTA, it downloads and reboots, then says update failed. Using PC Companion it does pretty much the same, but the program says the phone contains altered software that can't be updated.

Even after unrooting the phone with the zergrush exploit, PC Companion refuses to update the phone. Do I have to relock the bootloader for updates to work, and if so - how?

first of all u need to relock your bootloader in order to update
and second important thing is never accept updates OTA if your bootloader is unlocked http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/

Thanx for the reply! Still no luck..

I ran PCC and clicked the blue repair link. It asked me to shut down and start the phone with the back button pressed while connecting the USB cable. PCC found the phone, and once again told me I was not allowed to update due to the modified software.

BTW, if you're shopping for a new keyboard, I can wholeheartedly recommend Logitech. Their Caps Lock keys rarely stick.
