Sony Xperia Active won't start "all the way"...

Hi!

My Sony Xperia Active won't start "all the way"...it just vibrate, after some seconds it lightens up and it says "Sony Ericsson" in the display, it lightens up some more a microsecond, becomes a bit darker and then totally black again, and after some seconds it lightens up and it says "Sony Ericsson"...and so on...again and again.

I have tried a lot: taken out SIM and memory card, start with and without them, start with and without batterycharger, leave the phone without battery for several minutes and then put battery in place again, connect it to my computer, start and hold volume high and low, push "house" "button" many times during startprogress...and so on...but I can NOT get it started.

Is there Any way to make a SE Xperia Active to do a "safe mode start" or what shall I do?

Any suggestions?

Hi, it could be a software glitch .... suggest you software repair phone.

Here's the download link for Update Service, http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/. Download and install to PC/Laptop, launch it and follow on-screen instructions. This process will erase phone data completely.

My SE Xperia Active is like New again! For good and bad...need to restore all my apps...but it is working again!

omfg, I have the very same problem on my ST15i, and if this works I will kiss your ass bro! and yeah, I know it sounds gay. 'Cos I've been searching for this solution and out of frustration almost flashed my ROM. I don't know, it just doesn't want to boot

OMG IT WORKS! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I was soo scared, especially when I've read that for PCC you need SD card mounted. And the only way to do that is when your phone is on, which wasn't possible. I do not regret my lost data, as long as it's fixed. I guess I finally know what 'SUS' is for.

mine wont start...when i pushthe lock button the LED indictor blink 3 times.and that all...what the problem...had charge my phone till the indicator turn green, remoooving the batery,sim n memory card...still the same proble...pliz help me..

pls help me coz i drop my phone then it wont open all the way i try to charge it but theres is no RED light appear and i tried to charge it from my Computer there's a GREEN light appear but if i press ON/OFF button it wont be ON pls HELP me T_T

because a few of us are suddenly having this problem I wonder if it's because of downloading or updating an app.

Updated Facebook a few days ago. I tend to ignore the app updates that pop up on my phone - maybe there was something to do with Xperia Active that I should have downloaded?

Not a clue how to back up everything. Mine is working on charger but not when I pull out charger - goes black after the startup.

Same issue here. Started do it one week ago. Have purchased a larger micro SD card in case it was because I was on storage limit. Hasn't helped. Seems to restart ok after a few battery removals & retries. Also turns itsefl off sometimes when receives calls or SMS. Frustrating !!!!

Run SUS in compatibility mode with windows 7.

Similar problem. Xperia Active went blank with only menu key lit. Rebooted etc but just vibrated. Ran software update when home. All went well according to the Update software on PC companion but phone still refuses to do anything but vibrate.

Help appreciated will be gutted if the phone is bricked.
