hii.. battery problem

hey people... im currently using sony ericsson xperia arc running 2.3.4
after this update, there's a drastic drop in the performance of the battery of the phone
i never had any battery problemms until now.. and when the phone used to run on 2.3.3, the battery was functioning just fine..
and now since ive updated around a week back.. ive been observing a fall
and to my observation, i feel it's nt the problem with the battery but with the display.. when it ran on 2.3.3, the display would take around 35% of everyday's charge.. but now it takes EIGHTY !!!!!
please reply.. if u guys face the same problem, join me in appealing to SE.. and for those who dnt face this problem, please notify me as to where i can improve on the performance of the display.. i have kept the brightness to 15 % and the screen timeout to 30 seconds.. and within 5 hours the battery dies and when i see the usage.. 80 % would be the display !!

theres something wrong..it should not be that much..

update your phone again..

with this

and after update..turn off your bravia engine by going into settings > display..

hi kaiser, your battery ok now after updating again? i'm also having the same problem, display is using 70-80%.

well..., i've re-updated my arc again to 2.3.4, but the battery still the same. shows almost 80% usage.

so...what's next???

ok..charge it to a full 100%

then when around 15% remaining , go to settings > about phone > battery usage

and tell me all the items you get there , and the minutes used by it..ok..

did you turn off your bravia engine ?? and at what 5 do you keep your brightnes level ?

just checked again today, now it's at 55% for the display.

bravia is on, it's always been on when i'm using 2.3.3 and battery usage is about 30+%.

brightness level is at 1/4 level.

will do the 100% charge and 15% check maybe tomorrow.

right now battery at 33% with:

display 61% 3h33mins, idle 7% 11h30mins, WiFi 7% 7h16mins, cell standby 7% 7h16mins, 8 more items having 2-3%.

normal? fyi, data traffic never been on.

you dint tell me for how long it stayed..from the above phone idle is 11h 30 minutes..

so in 11 hours 30 minutes , wifi was on for like 7 hours..it sure will drain a lot of battery..

if data trafic was off..but still you were accessing internet for 7 hours and you are getting a pretty good battery life there

and please turn off your bravia engine..just turn off and just check it for a day..i'm sure its the culprit..one more user was facing the same problem , and turning the bravia engine off corrected the issue..

so please turn off the engine for a day and check again... it wont make a diiference since bravia engine works only with pics and videos and not for the entire display..just do it :smileyhappy:P

mine arc is using 56% for display when set at 15 brightness,is it ok r is der a problem

i am getting 13 hrs back up when i attend 5-7 calls,5 hrs music playback,1 hour of watching videos and playing games,taking atleast 10 pics,and browse for 2 hours,is it ok
