Camera Pictures file not picking up when connected to PC

Hi Guys,

Yesterday i took a few pictures and wanted to upload it onto my Pc. It doesnot come up in my Images folder. The last folder that came up was 2011 folder and my 2012 folders for january and february isnot there. if i go to my galery, the images are there but not there when connected to the pc. Howcum? Is there something wrong with any setting on my phone?

Hi Neran, can you tell us a few more things about your problem? What operating system are you running, what method are you using to exchange data between your PC and your X10, do you have any file manager apps installed on your phone?

if you mount your SD card to your PC you wont have access to your pictures on your phone until you unmount it, and it seems that you are using windows live gallery? try picasa on your PC its great too, and you can transfer your pictures quite simple

just mount your SD card -> enter your SD card -> look for DCIM -> 100Andro -> copy -> paste the pictures on your PC or you can let your PC copy all the pictures

Hi Sakisus,

I took out a few photos these past few days. Connected phone through USB and using Sony erricsson Pc companion. But when i go into my image folder, the pictures that was recently taken is not there. So in general - only got pictures up until january 2012. I havnt gone though the pictures directory on the pc though to check if everything is on as per my phone gallery. but the last month of pics are january and earlier. I have Free power widget installed

For some reason I am not 100% what exactly is your problem, but from what I understand, you are trying to sync your pics using PC companion and the last two months pictures are nowhere to be found. Good thing is, that you can still preview them on your phone, right?

Please read carefully and try to do what Uli said above, step by step. It is not complicated and a very easy way to get your X10 and PC to talk to eachother. If you dont want to do that, just simply email them to yourself for back up just to be sure. If you still have troubles please post.

Hi Uli,

I do have picassa3 on my pc but the good thing is i found my January & February pictures:smileyhappy:. I looked in DCIM > 100 ANDRO and copy and pasted as u explained. So is the DCIM the memory card? howcome all the other photos are in Images. (is that the phone memory) if so, how do i go about moving the images photos onto the memory card?

All sorted. I do want to view the photos i take but i usually do a backup on a month to month base to burn onto a dvd for storage so i can delete the photos on my phone? Thanx so much for the help.

anytime, you should consider Google Plus as well, so you can backup your pictures and videos on the clouds, in case something happen to your DVDs you will have the cloud back up
