Also some features are available only some regions(Tap and Play) it's not fair.

There is a problem after update of xperia m2 aqua, phone works slower at max brightness, on kitkat I didn't see that.

Beside the problems with the camera and performance on max brightness, sometimes my device has problems with network connection, also once in a while i cannot turn on the WiFi. And when I'm listening to music and I turn off the display it's still active for about 1 sec. I mean, I can stop the music even if the display went off. You think Sony will fix it in some update or just leave it unfixed?

After lollipop update, system aquired higher space in internal storage. So I had to move my all apps to Sd card.But once I upgrade a app it transfer to the internal storage automatically and shows message the internal storage is fill more than 75%.So I have to transfer all the time, when I upgrade a app. Hope it will be corrected by Sony from next update.

My problems in the lollipop thing:
*Internal storage got higher like its saying 75% higher. Where in kitkat last time its only 40%+. It's a big difference!!
*The brightness sometimes suddenly gets brighter, though I adjust it already. Its a bug.
* and the camera also...
Please fix this. Or just go back to being Kitkat, where there is less problem.

After lollipop update of Xperia M2, when I run a test to check the ear speaker, instead of ear speaker a sound hear from the loud speaker.why?PLEASE SOMEONE FOR MY ALL QUESTIONS I MENTIONED ABOVE.

starting from call
when i call after updating to lollipop, i noticed during a conversation after turning speaker phone on and than off the main microphone of handset stops

And if you have activated microphone suppression than secondary mic with main camera will work but if you have not activated microphone suppression than other party will not anle to hear you

xloud is missing and results in not much loud as it was earlier

quick silent and airplane mode in power menu disappeared

when you call and turn on speaker phone the proximity sensor led still blinks

still no settings to choose default sim for calling

no in built call recorder

do not disturb is introduced but not with full functionality like there is option to add exception of contacts only and not a special unknown number along with saved contact
also we can't block a special number

battery backup has gone worst than ever, i am using this phone from almost a year, i daily calls for about 8hrs listen to music surf internet and also plays game and than the battery stands to 2-3% my day starts at 9am and ends from 11pm to 2am

but after having this update my phone given up at 5pm and i don't have charger my work was pending i have to take status, have to travel and work but battery was dead and i was helpless

the phone has started hanging very often and so much that you can't even open pattern lock of screen when phone was in factoey reset mode and no softwares were installed

also there are very few menu functions available in shutter screen menu and you can't have silent mode and some other useful functions in it

when open setting the first option is wifi and seeing this you can't say its on and in scanning mode or it is off you have to open the WiFi. menu to check

and while in conversation if you wish to add new caller to conversation than you have to go to add new call than there the dialer will diaplay and select keypad or contact to call earlier to this update it was easier by just taping to keypad/contacts as per required to call any person

earlier when i have to call i just open phone app and select recent call or type no. but the pop menu to select sim was very annoying and the new lollipop has made it worst by adding a more tap to select keypad, now it will open and than we dial number

frankly speaking if thia ia what Google is trying than we people have to switch to other platform

for sure its not i-phone as it already lacks many required management features related to storage and internet

do you know even mi is providing better than you, it has never required to ask them any thing which is disappointing and with Sony its a routine task still sony is not trying any attempt to improve as per user requirements

Hi all, I'm getting really frustrated with my M2! Since I updated my phone has messed up, whatever I go on it won't let me go back to the main screen it just goes black,so I have to turn the phone off and on again! Please help me to regain and maintain my mental health x

No problems here, great job Sony loving 5.1, smoother, faster, camera is better for me I think, I'm getting 5-6hrs screen time on every full charge battery life is as good if not better than kk one it's settled down no problems with the zram either my only gripe is the corrupted services.odex file stopping the use of xposed all in all very happy and worth the wait thank you my next device will be a Xperia aswell

hi I have a serious problem after updating to lollipo 5.1.1. I previously had Kitkat 4.4.4 and was running smoothly. I am listing out my problems below. Kindly help me out.

1.I am unable to import a vcf file in address book from internal and sd card. But am able to import any contact from sim.The moment i import vcf address book freezes.

2. I am missing the whatsapp icon besides contact in my address book i.e., if i look in any contact in address book the whatsapp message and whats app call icon is missing and also the "see all " option in a particular contact in address book.

what i did till now

1. i Have formatted my phone numerous time to see the problem. I am listing out the scenarios below

scenario 1

1. first i formatted the phone , imported the vcf file from sd card (This time import works and asks me whether to import under local contact or gmail account) then i install whatsapp and now i see the whatsapp icon besides particular contact. but after installing some apps import from sd card freezes.I thought maybe other apps are creating problem so i again format my phone to factory settings.

scenario 2

1. as my previous scenario failed . I again formatted to factory reset. This time i imported vcf from sd card and it worded out. Then i installed yahoo mail app. Then i checked the filter option in address book (display names). It showed me local and yahoo account. after this i install whatsapp and other apps and import freezes and also the filter option display names yahoo account vanishes and so does local account. why is it so that previously it showed me yahoo account and now it didnt .

Scenario 3

1. agin i format my phone and this time i made sure i did not install whatsapp. I imported vcf file and worked out fine. I installed all other apps like gmail,truecaller,office suite,linkedin,amazon ,meru, flipkart,candy crush,wechat etc. after every app installation i checked import from vcf file and every time it worked out and asked me import under local contact/gmail account. But after installing whatsapp it fails terribly.

can somebody please tell me what exactly is this issue as in my address book no details of contact are visible. I previously had kit kat and never had problem like this.Some of my friends have motorolla,yureka etc and i checked in their phone also and all details like whatsapp etc are visible under contacts.

also i checked in their phone if i go to settings and select all apps and go to contacts and contacts storage there is an option to disable but in sony xperia m2 dual it is greyed out.

also in address book what is this filter option??? why previously in filter option when i go to display contacts it used to show local contacts and yahoo and now its only showing wechat and facebook???

i need some help regarding this as its very frustrating. I feel as if kitkat was way better. I have also installled latest version of whatsapp.

Xperia M2 aqua here. After updating to 5.1 I did a repair with PCC.

My issues after update (and repair):
1. Battery life at least 2 times shorter then KitKat. This is a bad one, because battery life was one of the biggest pros for this device.

2. Camera quality. I think I like the pictures when I'm seeing them full screen in the moment when I zoom in is disaster. Pictures taken in KitKat were kinda like they're lack sharpness and it was something like transparent grey layer adding blurry feel to them, making the pics a bit dull. In Lollipop these issues are fixed, but the pics looks like paintings and in the moment when you zoom in... well... pretty bad.

2. Overall sound feels a bit more quiet than before, but it is not that distorted (which I actually like). Also the level of the volume is smoother now. The last notch in the volume rocker in KitKat was ugly thing.

3. After longer call using Messenger the phone end up with muted sound and I have to restart it to works again. This issue appeared in KitKat also.

4. All the icons looks blurry. Seem like small icons just been made larger, with lack of resolution in them. If you pay attention and look close at them you will see it.

On the other side the phone feels like a newer device with the update. Lollipop gives a fresh and stylish feel to my phone, overall performance is great everything is smooth and eye candy. Transitions and animations are great working all the time with no lag here and there.

The main job is done, but there are things that need to be fixed.The biggest pros for this handset to me are performance and battery life. In 5.1 the perormance is great in my opinion better than 4.4, but I'm loosing half of my battery life.
Please smooth things out, Sony!

After updating to Android 5.1.1 M2 dual I was faced with such problems: the sound is softer, the camera is worse, the battery sits down quickly, and I think this is not the last problem that I noticed what is generally correct produce it or give me back kitkat !!!!! !

Did you install the update via Sony PC Companion?
If not, try re-installing 5.1.1 using Sony PC Companion and check if that helps with some of the problems.
