Hi,

It's hard to give you a list for all apps and which colors that they use since this is different from app to app. Also, this is something that the app itself needs to be programmed with to enable the LED.

If your LED flashing white you have a new message and if you are using Facebook, you will see different colors depending on the action from Facebook. For Facebook (if I'm not mistaken) you can see the color blue when you have a notification from Facebook such as friend request, tagged in a comment etc. And the color green will appear when you have a new message from Facebook.

Could you elaborate on Xperia Light?

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you looking for an app that can manage the LED? I have not tried any of them by myself but perhaps "Light Manager" or "Light Flow Lite" can do this which can be found via Google Play.

Try different apps, as what you describe it's a compatibility issue, if you use whatsapp you can change the notification light color.

Is it possible to increase light frequency for notification LED? None of applications that I try on market can do this, all of them are incompatible with M4 Aqua? My notification LED blink on every 6-8 sec, for very short time and I often miss mails and messages because of this. It is not comfortable to watch your phone's LED for such period of time to see if will blink or not. On other models Sony, you can change notification LED blink frequency via menu or using third-party app. How to fix this?

So is this going anywhere ?

Because i surely can change color of notification light by using apps but the flashing duration.. it's just impossible i think

There's also forum that could not do it even with rooting or flashing some different ROM

https://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/help/led-notification-settings-missed-calls-t3166566
