Have you tried to perform a &lt;A href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/FAQ/How-to-perform-a-software-repair-with-Xperia-Companion/m-p/1103057" target="_self"&gt;software repair using Xperia Companion&lt;/A&gt;?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure that the device is powered off and not connected to the computer when you start with the repair and after clicking on "Software repair", check the little box in the bottom left corner to proceed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Let me know if that helps!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Jonas,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thank you for your answer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes, I've alread tried xperia companion, but the phone is a few years old and I cant find the google account which is refered to the device. So I stuck on the step where I get asked for the google account.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

That is why you need your Google credentials&amp;nbsp;to be able to use the device after a reset.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This protection can't be reset on your own, so in your case, please get in touch with your &lt;A href="https://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/" target="_self" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;Local support team&lt;/A&gt; and they will advice you how to proceed with this, as the device has to be sent to an authorized service centre.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope that helps!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
