topic Sony M5 Dual Battery range moving up when phone left in charger after 100% reached? in M Series

My second M5 Dual, newer version / software, but still inheret wrong battery % and charging errors.

Although this time it is different.

1. My first M5 Dual battery will show wrong % and just die (flat), after no help from Sony from or 100's off Forums which all just report same issue I eventually by eliminating all posibilities realized it is that the M5 battery can only be charged by a M5 charger (IMPORTANT!! NO other chargers including Sony quick chargers) as soon as you plug in another charger poof!!! change your battery, No app or fix solution will work.

2. My second M5 dual (Why I love the M5 dual), when the phone is left in the charger and it reach 100% and you don't remove it immidiatly it moves the range (example to 135% Note you only see max 100%), so you use the phone the battery % drops to 35% eventually and poof your phone dies...

Sony why is this happening?

Can you create an app to fix Experia errors or identify the error?

The only way I can "fix" my phone is by running a battery calibration app, but that works for a week or so when I forget to quickly remove my phone from the charger when it reaches 100%.

So today I installed an 100% full alarm app with as little as possible Permissions.

Hope someone can help, battery life is fine but indication wrong, not same problem as my 1st Sony M5.

So ignore post above from me on Sony M5 battery problems

In short:

When your battery is misbehaving, replace it.

Wrong % indication or just dying when still showing battery has power etc. conditions mean your battery is gone. Replace to safe a lote of frustration.

NB! Never ever charge with a charger not spesifically designed for the SONY M5 (slow charge, you can't use a fast charge Sony charger, and definitly no other make!!!!)

Blogs talk about apps and ressting tricks etc. It does not work.

lessons learned the hard way
