I'm sorry to hear this. Do I understand you correct when I say that the top part of your touchscreen isn't responding?

I'd recommend that you test your touchscreen in the built in diagnostics tool in your device. You can do this if you go to: Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test device > Touchscreen > Test. How does the display behave in this test?

I would also recommend that you reboot your device to safe mode to see if this behavior may be caused by one of your downloaded apps as these will be temporarily disabled in this mode.
