topic Rebooting in M Series

My M4 Aqua is a little over a year old and let's just say the experience so far wasn't great, at all. I have an insurance that grants me a new phone in case of any damage or problems and I've been meaning to use it but I don't see the point if the new M4 preforms the same.

The rebooting loop started a few days ago. It began with wifi and connectivity problems. At first the phone rebooted once and then worked fine for a while, now it's at a point where it reboots constantly, rarely gets over the white sony screen and just generally doesn't respond to anything. As far-fetched as it seems, I would like to mention that (when it still got to, let's say, 5 minutes of normal functioning) wifi, mobile data and position of the phone all had impact on how fast it would go back into rebooting.

I cannot preform a backup because the phone doesn't stay on long enough. Luckily I had most of my data on SD card, but I still want to retrieve my contacts and messages, does anyone know if it's possible to do so without the phone being on?

*Edit: someone on a similar thread recommended putting the phone into the freezer and surprisingly enough it works. I assume this is an overheating problem although I have no idea why it would occur so suddenly in so many devices. I attempted a backup with Xperia Companion multiple times but there was an error when it came to file 'Other'. The last time I chose to backup everything apart from Other and it went through. Could this be relevant to rebooting?*

To Sony: This has to be a joke. I cannot comprehend the fact that you are not acknowledging this problem and taking action or at least responsibility since there are at least a hundred people with the same issue on this forum alone and I can hardly imagine being it a user-caused one. Many have said it already and I'll say it again: I've always been a Sony enthusiast but this kind of problems and your attitude towards them is making me question the brand of my next mobile device.

Please excuse my rambling, hope none of you fall down the same rabbit hole!
