1. Howcomes sony decided to clock the snapdragon 615 to 1.5ghz and not 1.7ghz like other phones, as their performance is much better in game?. e.g. xiomi mi4i or the zte blade s6.

2. Will sony add VOLTE (4g voice) in an update as the device supports it, or is it up to mobile networks to activate the feature? They could also add wifi calling.

3. Will sony add fast charging to the device as the CPU supports it as its seen in other SN 615 devices like the moto g turbo edition?

if they added all of this, it would deffinetly increase sales.

Thanks in advance.

https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/615

I don't have the exact technical reason for this for Xperia M4 Aqua but generally the CPU is clocked at the optimal level. Reasons for not using maximum speed are for example:

CPU running at maxiumum speed generates more heat

At full speed the risk of damaging other components is higher

The lifespan of the CPU is reduced

I'm afraid i don't have any information about new features in upcoming software updates but i will forward your feedback internally.

Generally, you need to buy a phone from an operator that supports VoLTE to have support for this.

Snapdragon 615 clock speed 1.5Ghz average speed 1.3Ghz.
Snapdragon 616 clock speed 1.7Ghz.
Qualcomm snapdragon 615 & 616 is overheat processor make the device like Xperia M4 Aqua and other device suffer from heat.
Sony solution make M4 Aqua is waterproof to reduce from overheat or cooling the device.

to test gaming performance for M4 Aqua I tried to play
heavy game like N.O.V.A 3 and it's running smooth compare to Oppo R7 Lite, Oppo R7 and Xiaomi Mi4i not smooth also lag even same processor.

Only 16gb M4 Aqua version no problem to play n running heavy games coz some games required 2 - 3gb space storage memory after install the game.

That why 8gb M4 Aqua version have some lag or too lag running some games like Asphalt 8 Airborne
coz Asphalt 8 required at least 1.8gb free storage after installing.
