disable reject call with a message

Please let me know how to deactivate reject calls with a message because when i am in roaming it outmatically sends message if I touch some where other than red button and SMS charges will be deducted from my balance. So I don't want this facility. Can any one suggest me how to disable this feature.

Hi there,

Try the following:

Settings > Call Settings > Reject call with message > Menu > Reset default SMS app

Settings > App > All > Call app/ Phone app > Clear defaults

The solution that worked for me is to change the message centre number ( deleted the last digit). U can't do it from xperia L, as far as I figured out, but u could change the message centre number by inserting the sim in another fone which supports editing the message settings (Like an old nokia fone 1100, 1110 or any "non-smartfone"). Outgoing messages wil be blocked but incoming text messages works fine

hi,

I tried the steps you mentioned but i when i press the menu option nothing happens .. this is very problematic as automatic messages like this are going to all the people..

i am also facing the following issues:

1. the radio sound quality is not at all good on this handset, however, when at the same location i am using a basic samsung handset the clarity is much better..

2. i have installed the call recorder app on my phone but none of the call gets recorded.. its all garbled.. i changed the audio source setting to "voice call" but it always gives me a prompt "the last attempt to record voice call failed. it can be one of two reasons - either your device doesnt support voice recording or other application is recording at the same time"

Please help..

i had been using a samsung handset for the past two years but this E series handset was appealing but i am dissapointed with its performance malfunction..

would appreciate a prompt reply here.

i use xperia e1 call recorder works perfect for me. These are my call recorder settings

Audio source: Mic,

Audio channel: mono (u may even try stereo it would be better but i have never selected it)

Sound Quality: MPEG4 (3gp is bad to hear)

You cannot disable auto reject calll button from appearing in an incoming call but dont worry at all dude there is a way of locking an incoming call. You need to only install a small application named as "tiny call confirm" from google play store. Its size is also very small and it will never consume your battery.

Your incoming call will be displayed on your phone as shown in the following picture, you need to drag the lock button towards the right and then also drag your normal green button towards right side.. So two times you have to drag to answer a call. This will solve your problem.

This idea of instaling "Tiny call confirm" app really worked fantastic, saved me from further embarrassement that unsolicited reject cal with a message always give me.

You should have the option to diable it under

1. Settings
2. Call
3. Reject call with message

Cannot do this as option does not exist with an Xperia T. Any other ideas please?

Enter in Setting,Call,General,Reject call with message,delete the message then press enter to write on nxt line,then you can press ok,the messag will be deleted,and repeat this for all the messages you have for rejecting call,for sure nw when you dont reply to a call,there will be the option to reject with message,but you will have to write anew,it will not be automatically,Gud Luck
