I connected my xperia L to my car stereo using its usb cable..i selected mass storage and tried to play music..but the stereo did not show a device..could u please share how to play music in stereo..

Check the cable connection to PC - XL if everything will be OK and the problem is in the phone.
You're set to MSC in the phone for XPERIA mode?

My car radio or stereo has a line in socket which using a 2 way audio jack (like the headphone jack) from my headphone socket to the radio allows me to play songs etc via the headphone socket through my radio

I cant play songs when connected to stereo of my car..is it possible to play and charging as like old sony mobiles...??

If you have it in MSC mode (which is the only way this will work) the content you are trying to play will need to be on the memory card not internal storage.
