Headphone port.. Got new headphones today but only work in one ear,it's something to do with the headphone socket can I get it replaced or will I need a new phone

HI there I've tried different earphones and it's definitely the earphone socket,keeps cutting out,coming on,noise like feedback on a mixer.

@ulliwulli.. Thanks for the advice, I have e.mailed local support and am waiting on a reply,I just got née earphones as I thought it was my other earphones only working in one ear,but turns out its the earphone socket.
