I'm sorry to hear that. I would recommend that you try and temporarily remove and SIM- and SD-card from your device to see if they are causing this behavior.

I'd also recommend that you try and reboot your device to safe mode to see if this behavior is caused by one of your downloaded apps as these will be temporarily disabled in this mode.

Since I got this new fone after the last E5 kept playing up and shutting down in January I haven't put a sim or sd card in it. I have been using it like a tablet at home. I did recently accept the Sony update which I've ignored for month's though

I'm in the same boat and I use it for work. I upgraded to E5 from SP when it starting resetting/shutting down/freezing.

E5 after 6 months has started doing the same thing, it is not the sim as the SP was a different sim.

I am furious, I've always had Xperia as they have so many features, but this is one feature I can do without.

This morning the phone went through all 3 problems, freezing, shutting down\resetting, I couldn't rely on it and had to send out emails or use the home land line. Just not good enough.

@TinaS, sorry to hear that. Have you tried the trouble shooting suggested in this thread? If you are still experiencing the same behavior after doing so, I would recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.
