Can anyone help me on how to edit my contact info on my Xperia C. Everytime i attempt to edit "Myself", it prompts that "Contact has stopped".

Please advise

Do you experience the same problem if you boot your phone into safe mode?

Hi! Tried the steps to boot my phone into safe mode.. Unfortunately, I found another problem because it just wont work. The first option for android 4.1 or later doesn't show the "reboot into safe mode" prompt after pressing the power mode again. The second option w/ power + volume button, my phone hangs on the prompt of android icon with a note of "no command" and i need to reset my phone to gain access again.

Are there other ways to fix these? Or should I visit the nearest service center now. btw, my Xperia C is just 1 month old on my possession.

You could try a software repair via sony update service or just take it into service.

You need to press and hold the power off option for about 3 seconds to get the option to reboot in safe mode.

I also suggest that you try to clear data under settings > apps > all > contacts > clear data. Restart phone and try again.

Hi Alexander! Tried doing it.. Pressing amd holding the power burton for 3 seconds or more I guess but still doesnt show the safe mode option.

Also done on clearing the data on the app menu but still say "Unfortunately, contacts has stopped.

I know my concerns are way not that complex compare to other post here but please if there is no resolution available yet, at least enlighten us with its cause (if your allowed to disclose those info) because this problem already exists from day 1.

You should not press and hold the power button. You press and hold the power off options that is displayed in the menu that pops up when holding the power button to turn off.

If that doesn't help you should go with the suggestion from Alexdon.

Wew.. Thanks for the advise. Able to put it im safe mode but still contacts is crashing once i try to edit "myself" info. I'll try the suggestion of Alexdon. Will keep you posted on the outcome. Thanks to all.

Logout from Google+ then you will be able to edit your profile....it happens to me before after I Logout from Google+ it works like a charm..

Hi,

If you uninstall Facebook and WhatsUp it should work. Make sure that you don't synk your contacts with Facebook if you decide to install Facebook again.

I think Facebook is the main problem, Do the following step:

from setting, accounts & sync settings then remove all accounts except gmail account.

phonebook well work, when I try to add facebook account again the problem appears again

I had remove facebook account and now my phone is working well
