Problem with the unlock pattern on Xperia C

I bought my xperia C a couple of days back. I'm having some problem with unlocking my phone using the unlock pattern.

1.Even when I enter the correct pattern, the phone does not get unlocked.It does not respond at all. Also, it does not display any wrong pattern instruction.This happens a couple of times before it actually gets unlocked. I was wondering if I'm the only one with such a problem.

2.Also, there is no security question asked. So what do I do in case I forget my unlock pattern?

When you are unable to enter the pattern to unlock your device, do you see the text "Try again in "XX" seconds" above the pattern? Because when you have entered the wrong pattern 5 times, your touch will not respond until this time have passed.

Also, if you have entered the pattern lock wrong these 5 times, in the bottom you will have an option "Forgot pattern" where you can enter your Google account details to unlock your phone thereby why the security question is not needed.

Actually what I meant was that it does not unlock even though I have entered the correct pattern. This happens sometimes not everytime.

And there seems to be no limit to the number of times I can enter a wrong pattern! so what if I forget the pattern?

If you forget the pattern lock, you can perform a software repair via PC Companion or Update Service:

I have sony xperia c mobile. I changed the pattern lock but unfortunatily i forgot. Please advice how can I unlock it since net and WIFI is off right now so I can not sign in with google account.

Same problem for me - How to login and unlock ????????
