screen would not dispay after call is dialled. Re installed phone software, tested it with sony diagnotics, worked in 1 out of 4 or 5 instances I ran the test.

Any solutions?

Is there anything near or on the proximity sensor? protective case, or protective film or even grim?

Yes this is done.. There is nothing around it.. I downloaded this app also called proximity sensor finder from Google Play Store. It also showed the same results. Once an object is passed in Front of the proximity sensor..it detects.. But when the object is removed it doesn't....

It might be a hardware issue. you could repair your phone with SUS or PCC but if that doesn't work then

Looks like a hardware issue to me as well. I had taken it to the service center who formats, reinstalls the os & gives it back. Works for few calls & then is back to normal. The company is not yet ready to accept the issue as a hardware one.

Only option I see today is to use a flipcase all the time & making sure that not even a fingerprint comes nearr the sensor. This is an un relasitic solution for a phone in this premium segment.

Dear All,

I don't know whether this solved the problem or not, But even I am facing the same problem. I bought the phone last week and also put a scratch a guard on it.

When I am dialing a phone and put it on MY ear display automatically turns off but when I want to end the call it never turns on nor power button works.

Kindly advise whether I should remove this scratch guard to fix this issue or not or is their any other solution for this. I am having 30 days replacement gurantee with the online portal from where I bought this.

i bought xperia C 2 day ago...its proximity sensor is not working.....as soon as i make a call its screen goes off but dont restores to normal state even phone is not near to ears......is it hardware problem or any settings issue?

guys i was also facing same problem but i removed the cover and then put the phone back in cover after that i press a little bit on both sensors to fit cover and after that swiped on sensor two,three times with a press..alhamdulillaha it worked..

Do you have any cover or screen protector that may cover the proximity sensor located on the top of the phone (next to the Sony logo).

Download Xperia Diagnostics to test the proximity sensor by covering the top of the phone with your hand.

Here are some of the issues which i am facing and as well as lot of other people are facing, can you please help us?

My handset is already with service center for the mentioned issues, second time since the purchase nearly a month ago. If this time I do not get a satisfactory solution, I am planning to move to the consumer court. There are issues with network connectivity as well, apaprt from those mentioned. Try swapping the sim cards or go on roaming & it will take 30 minutes & 20+ pincode entries to register on the network,

Hi,

I have same phone, but when i recieve calls. My phone gets blank it may be due to sensor. But when moving from ear to type nmber it gets restored again.

But AFAIK, i am using it since 1 month. Really guys i have'nt restarted my phone yet !!!!!!.

Couple of apps are installed on my phone, whatsapp,gmail,facebook, many games etc.

May be youshould try removing apps that are of not use,

I have not faced any problem, Ehile playing HD games, videos the backside of phone gets a little bit hot. but its OK.

Hi All,

I am also facing the same issue.Whenever I am trying to call to anyone my screen getting locked and I am not able to disconnect the call.

I called to the customer care regarding this issue and as per suggestion I reinstalled the software for Experia C but problem is not yet resolved.

Did anyone get any solution for it..
