Message app is not being opened after android update to version 6.0

Message app is not being opened after android update to version 6.0. I have also tried by restarting phone, clearing the message app cache, again restoring messages ot my Xperia C4 Dual but nothing worked.

Please help.

Hi @Max1983, sorry to hear about this.

Is there any error message on your screen after you have tapped on the Messaging icon on either your home screen or in the application screen?

If you haven't tried clearing data for the application, I'd recommend that you do that. This will not delete any messages that you have received to your phone, it will only reset the data for the application.

To do that, go to Settings > Apps > Messaging > Storage > Clear data.
