Marshmallow caller id unlinked with contacs list

After upgrading to Marshmallow, phone calls shows only numbers and no names......
Each number has to be added again and again....
Is there a way to solve this? I mean, simply configuring the actual contacs to APPEAR when receiving a call from the previously added contacts??

Could you check if the filters are selected

contacts > menu > filters

Hi Pete56,

Welcome to the community,

Sorry to hear about this, there should be no reason as to why this has started, other than maybe an issue with the software update installation.

I would first suggest backing up the contacts to a PC/Mac and a SIM/SD card. Once done I then suggest clearing the Contacts application data, restarting the handset and then seeing if the issue has been resolved.

Apps > Settings > Apps > Contacts > Storage > Clear Data.

Thank you Jake, I exported contacs to Sd card, then deleted all and imported back. Now it seems fine!
