Xperia C5 Ultra suddendly restart

Xperia C5 Ultra suddendly restart after no evident cause. No heating, No app running, no gaming or video playing/recording. It's not on a constant frecuency. It could be one or two days or even a week before it begin restarting several times. I've already tried restoring the phone, update it and nothing works. It's a black version. My brother have exactly the same phone in white, we bought both the same day and he has no problems.Thanks!!

Hi @salgadoc,

Welcome to the community.

Most of the time, the issue you have described can be caused by third party apps or a faulty SD card.

Because the issue is intermittent it is going to be difficult to test. Generally I would recommend you test the phone in safe mode, and then without an SD card.

i bought a c5 dual ultra yesterday, i updated it and suddenly when opening some apps or playing games it will hangs up and then it will restart and its always happening..
Please help me with these =(

Rjaymendoza if you updated from 5.0 to 5.1 directly may need to do a software repair via Sony XC app. It's easy to use however do a backup of your data before doing so.

I also have the same problem my c5 today it hanged up then restarted itself trice.. I am not playing any games no apps running. No music. And also the top speaker is not working since i bought this i just found out later that its not actually working and also mh battery drains too fast maybe 3hrs of straight use with internet. Please help me. I love this phone so far. I bought this last aug.16,2016

I had this problem and I figured out the SIM card does not seat properly in carrier. I know this sounds strange, but for me it was happening several times a day.

I placed a small piece of sticky tape behind the SIM card and "hazar", problem sorted, it has not reoccured in 3 months + now.

Hello Sony! I posted the same message in the section regarding marshmallow issues.
I really hope to get an answer.
I m mike, I bought a Sony xperia c5 ultra dual in december 2015. All things went Perfect untill the update to marshmallow.
I use a Sony smartwatch 3.
After the update, the bluetooth and the wi fi don't seem to work, the batery drains much faster than before, and, the most frustrating thing, the phone restarts whenever he wants.
I read the topics and I deleted android wear. For the moment, the phone is ok, but I wonder why did I buy a smart watch?
Anyway, I really hope Sony will fix the problem because me and my family use sony devices. Actually, the reason I bought the c5 is because we were very pleased with the old xperia sl.
But now...I really start to think I made a big mistake. Thank you for your suoport!
