Unable to Dial Numbers

I am unable to dial numbers from my contact list or call log. After selecting a number and dialling it the dual sim option dosent come and nothing happens even after pressing the contacts again n again. It works once or twice after restarting the phone but then its the same issue. Kindly help.

Hi @Swapsd,

I'm sorry to hear this.

Could try restarting your phone into safe mode to see if it behaves the same way then as well?

If it doesn't this could be caused by a third party app that has been downloaded. If you have downloaded any new apps recently you could then try uninstalling them to see if that helps.

Phone worked just fine in safe mode. Restarted the phone uninstalled all third party apps but the problem is still there. Not able to dial/make calls 😞

That is odd. Could you also try clearing data for the Contacts app? This can be done through Settings > Apps > All > Contacts > Clear data. This will not erase any of saved contacts.

The option of clearing the data for contacts has worked. Phone is working just fine now. Thanks a lot for your help...appreciate it.

Guys

After downloading the latest SW for my C4 Dual sim i cant dial out now.i set dial and immediately closes with black screen.

I saw thread for clearing the "contacts" app........ "settings"..... " Apps"......then { All } .......contacts.....

I cant find the ALL ? just the contacts App with FORCED STOP..... what am i doing wrong please??

Hi @Trevorday, sorry to hear this.

There has been some changes in Android 6 and this can now be found in Settings > Apps > tap the three dots > Show system > Find Contacts > tap Storage > Clear data. I hope this helps.

Thanks but that has not rectified the problem

Tried it a couple of times and restarted but still cant call out??

I also notice the flash light function does not work now either (but not really bothered)

What do you suggest next please?

Could you restart your phone into safe mode and then try to dial out again?

Hi Chris,

On friday i found the PC companion and run the "repair the software" ....aka factory reset.

It is now working and dialling out. Oh and the flash works again.

Hope this helps others.
