Sony Xperia C5 not charging when on

Hi guys,

Need your help here.. Anybody know what to do or have any solution to my problem?

My Sony xperia c5 cant charging when its on. but if i turn off the phone, its will charging the phone. Just happen tonight.

Any solution?

What if you boot on >>> safe mode, does it charge while on?

You could simply reboot and seeing if it behave correctly, but if it's what happen to me... Try this next time it happen: go in settings, apps: search for Google play Store and force stop.

I discovered that the latest Play store at times hangs, cpu usage Spike and battery discharge very fast. Hopefully Google will release a bug fix, I already sent report and got a message saying that the issue is acknowledged and replicable.

Have you tried different ways of charging the device, say using a PC instead of a wall charge and if you have did you get the same results?

hey i am having the same problem from 1 day ....my phone is getting charged when it is turned off but it is not charging while it is on...and also not in safe mode...plzz sony give me a solution

I got the same problem. C5 in not charging when ON. Even not charging in safe mode. I tried changing the sockets and tried charging fron pc but in vain. Any solution plz

Ok so at this point I think you should all try a software repair. That can be a software issue triggering the no-charge situation you are all suffering.

Try simplying swtiching the charger, for me that worked, hopes it works for you!

Hi guys,
I had face the same problem on my C5.
Being tried everything from reboot to put it back on factory setting.. At last I just switched the usb wire on my powerbank from 1.0A outlet to 2.1A outlet. DINGG!! The charging back to work..

Wish this work for u guys as well..

It doesn't work for me...i can't even connect to my power bank...even when im switch from 5v 1.0A to 2.10A.

I am not be able to changee my Sony Xperia C5 Ultra dual in normal mode. But when I switch off it and put it for charging then it gest started to charge.

I'm expiencing the same problem with my C5 ultra phone, it doesnt charge unless you turned it off, tried in safe mode, but still doesnt, ive read somebody replied that software repair didnt work as well. Can anybody help me resolve this problem, im getting frustrated with my phone already.

Hello,

I'm facing same problem " Sony Xperia C5 not charging when on " . Even after factory reset and mutiple reboot, poweronn/on, same issue. During OFF condition, mobile is getting charged.

During ON condition, Not charging and Charger itself not detected.
