Problem enabling 3G

I bought a Xperia C phone few days ago and put a 3G enabled SIM in it. But not able to enable 3G data. There is no settings for doing this. Data mode is working in 2G mode. Can anybody help me solve my issue.

Do you have the correct APN settings ?

Settings > Xperia > internet settings > also if your SIM card its older than a year, you should get a new SIM card

I have the same problem too. I tried everything I read on forums still not working. When I try to use it the first time, it works but after few weeks my xperia c cant receive 3g it doesn't have the "h+" or "h^" sign on the top of signal bars. What should I do?

Do you have good 3G coverage?If you restart the phone,does the 3G data work?

Yeah, I have a full bar here at home. I tried it several times. I even tried to reset the phone.

3g doesnt seem to work. I only have the signal "3g GLOBE TELECOM PH" thats when I try to look for network

Try a software repair with sony update service.If not working,visit a nearby sony center.

Hi Guys

Hope this helps, you can only get 3G or better from sim tray 1, sim tray 2 will only work @ 2g. I had a data sim in tray 2 and my cell sim in tray one.

I have swopped these around and also the sim preferance ( I have data set to sim 1 and Calls and Messeages to sim 2)

Then lastly go to SETTINGS>MORE>MOBILE NETWORKS>SELECT SIM CARD>SIM 1> and ensure you have WCDMA(Preffered) selected

select more

select mobile network

select sim card

select network mode as WCDMA only

now restart ur phone and enjoy 3g net

there is no option available for network mode. in Xperia C.

now restart ur phone and enjoy 3g net

"WHERE CAN I SEE THE SELECTION OF SIMCARD". I CAN VIEW SETTINGS>MORE>MOBILE NETWORK> NETWORK MODE>

BUT NO SELECT SIMCARD

I'm having enabling my 3G. try to download internet setting a few times. DOne setting the APN but still cannot.

I have the same problem 3g network not supported by this phone and only working well on 2g Network. Data connection automatically disconnected even showing full network with H+ connection.
