I have not needed to reset factory settings as a later reply suggested that holding down the mute button turns off Talkback which works.

Talk Back keeps turning its self on, at least once a week. I suddenly get a very loud voice stating actions. This is very annoying. I can turn it off each time but how can I stop it turning its self on.

Thanks I will try power reset first for more than 2 mins then will wait
maybe a few days before the problem reoccurs. If it does will try factory
reset. Will let you know eventually if it works.

Thanks very much for that information. I have tried pressing the mute button and it does switch on talkback after 3 seconds and gives an on screen message. I am sure this is not how it happens automatically but the good news is we can now turn it off very quickly by holding the mute button down and not have to go through settings, which my couldn't do.

Many thanks.
