New KD43XG8196 connected to Virgin Media V6 box.

When I try to watch catch up via any channel e.g. iplayer, sky. itv. I get sound but no picture, when I fast forward I get a scrolling picture in the box below but no picture on main screen?

That's an interesting one. I assume that live content over the V6 box is working OK? How is your V6 box connected to the TV?

What are the video output settings on the V6 box set to? Have you tried changing the output value to see if that fixes it? I used to have lots of issues with HDCP (content protection) and the V6 box but that usually resulted in a red/green screen not a blank screen.

Post back with how you're connected and what you've tried so far to fix.
