Nougat update sound issue

Tv: KD-43X8309C

Updated firmware: Android Nougat update (5.381)

HDMI ARC connection to external Amplifier with 5.1 speakers.

TV Speakers left on 0 (zero)

Since latest update switching from TV to Android TV (home) screen no sound is output from apps on ARC HDMI. If I turn tv speak up to 1 and then back to 0 sound output to ARC HDMI channel works again.

Never previously had this issue and all settings remain the same before and after firmware upgrade.

Is this a known bug?

No longer have that tv. Due to my son having and acident with a toy we now have a XG83 2019 series tv. In setting up I did have problems getting sound through ARC so run direct via optical now. My amp is several year old so it could be a limitation of the system and while tvs are updated the amp isn't and so at some point something might have been devolved.
