topic Betreff: DVD will not autoplay (Bravia Sync?) in Android TV

Hello @davjack7,

if the new player has a HDMI port, definetly use that. Then make sure the player has "Control via HDMI" enabled (alternatively called CEC).

If that is activated and Bravia Sync is on, the TV remote should be able to control the player via HDMI.

I think it is a settings issue, not a cable/hardware issue. I could be wrong though.

First time post.

Recently upgraded TV for my mother-in-law who is 86, model 43XG8196BU.

Then realised that her DVD only had scart sockets so had upgrade DVD also, model DVP-SR760H.

With scart she only had to put a DVD in the slot and the DVD connected to the TV but not with this new setup. Whilst it's possible to change the input on the remote it's too complicated for her. It should autoplay anyway?

I've tried all the instructions in the manual but nothing seems to work, it doesn't show the DVD as present.

I was told by an AV engineer that it could be the HDMI lead as some of them don't have a pin connected (pin 13 I think he said) but I've tried different HDMI cables.

Help?
