Can this tv pass trough dolby digital+ (dolby atmos) to my receiver thats support dolby atmos? Connect with hdmi 2.1 ARC

KD-55X8508C hasn't eARC or HDMI 2.1.

The tv has 2.0a Hdmi ARC. The tv support "Dolby Digital Plus"

My question now is: when can i use Dolby Digital Plus?

The tv has spefication "Dolby digital +".

What are the circumstance that you can use "Dolby Digital +"

Because i connected with my receiver but it is not showing "Dolby Digital +"

That does not work on every AVR. And we don't know which one you have. Early ARC spec did not include DD+. So, your AVR does support DD+ on any other HDMI but not on ARC.

But you can try with toslink since there should not be such limitations.

Yesterday i have tryed a toslink cable, but also no dolby digital plus on my marantz sr5014 receiver.

I also called sony support and they contact with the technical service.

And i called with netflix and even they checked everything it must be working

But still i have no solution yet

Does C series even support DD+?

I don't remember that. I mean, I know that on newer models you can choose between DD and DD+ under settings but was it like that on W75C I had before..... not sure.
