      <title>Chromecast  not working on Android 8</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the Sony KD65-A9F Oled TV. With the latest firmware and software installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No matter what I do, &amp;nbsp;I cannot get Chromecast built in to work!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anyone else have a similar problem?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can cast to the TV from any cast enabled app, &amp;nbsp;and the TV goes into “casting” mode, but then all I get is the infamous “spinning wheel” and “ready to cast” message...but no video ever appears!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have done a full TV reset, and following this reset, Chromecast works perfectly....just once, and thereafter the same problem reappears!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have an NVidia Shield running the same Android TV operating system, and the Chromecast built in works perfectly with the shield...on the same network, using the same casting devices.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the problem. Is clearly an issue with the Sony TV, and I am not very impressed with the Sony technical support response...”just use your Shield”!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Sorry...this is a standard template response, which does not provide a&lt;BR /&gt;solution!&lt;BR /&gt;In my earlier posts on this I stated that I have already visited this&lt;BR /&gt;support article, and tried the suggestions...to no avail!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have spoken to Sony Tech Support who have used the “remote support”&lt;BR /&gt;facility and confirmed for themselves that Chromecast isn’t working!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;They have also given me the standard platitudinous response saying this&lt;BR /&gt;issue has now been referred to “Senior tech support” which I suspect is&lt;BR /&gt;Sony corporate speak for....”we have no idea why this isn’t working, and&lt;BR /&gt;as we don’t have a template response, we are going to ignore you....”&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Not good enough Sony!&lt;BR /&gt;--&lt;BR /&gt;Sent from my mobile...&lt;BR /&gt;Peter Myers</description>

      <description>This is a typical ridiculous response!!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I HAVE been in touch with Sony "Support" team!&lt;BR /&gt;I have said this is the case in my posts already....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It was the non support from the "Support team" which caused me, in&lt;BR /&gt;exasperation, to post and see if could get help on this community....</description>
