Any idea why we get a black band at the top of the screen with HDMI 3 / ARC in white letters? Only appears randomly for about 5 seconds.

Hi @bazza525

I take it you are referring to the Info Banner. As you have an Android TV (this community) you can turn it off by going to Home -> Settings -> Channel setup -> Info banner -> Disable.

The Info banner appearing when it shouldn’t do has been a nuisance bug for years with Sony unwilling or unable to fix it. It has been around since 2015.

Thanks for the info. However, the black band still appears randomly at the top of the screen.

Hi @bazza525 Even after you have disabled it? What is the full model number of your TV (it will start with KD).

Hi @bazza525

I have a KD-55XE9305 as well. Note you may have to reboot (Reset) your TV for the change of Info banner to take effect. (Hold down the remote power button until you see Power Off appear on the screen).
