New Sony Android TV (55xg8796) black screen with sound, 10 days old!

Hi All,

We got a new KD-55XG8796 TV 10 days ago from HN's. Everything great for first 2 days, then since then TV screen would take 15 minutes to turn on and now this evening after waiting 15 minutes for it to start up it started flickering like crazy and then just went black. Sound is still working.

As this is only 10 days old I guess I can still bring back to retailer and get a full refund?

Does anyone have advice for me?

Hi @aingus Why are you hesitating, take it back for a replacement or refund.

I'll head in on Saturday and get a refund. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to first decent TV (at 55years of age!) 🙂

I'd have had more satisfaction throwing 400 euros at a Tesco Sharp or Phillips..
