KD-55X8005C Android TV update been going 24 hours

Hi all

Yesterday my Sony KD-55X8005C switched itself off and started updating without any prompt.

The white light has been flickering every few seconds and intermittently the android pictures flash up on the screen and then go again. Over 24 hours later it’s still the same.

Ive tried pressing the power and volume down and switching the power on and off as in the guides online 5 times but nothing. I can’t get access to my TV at all it’s no responsive.

Any ideas? Do updates take that long and is there anyway without accessing the TV to stop the update and reboot the TV?

I can’t do anything currently so any support would be much appreciated.

Yep, I’ve tried having the power off for a few hours and trying again and the update just continues. I get the Android image pop up for a few seconds but almost as if the graphic is broken as well. Feels like it’s just got stuck and won’t complete the update and keeps going in a cycle.

I’ve tried the factory reset by holding down power and volume down and plugging in and out as well but no luck 😞

Any ideas on how you can try a reset any other way?
